Awhile ago I found a recipe for Chewy Gooey Flourless Chocolate Cookies on Pinterest. I originally pinned them for my mom, who is gluten-free and dairy-free. I try to keep an eye out for good desserts that she can eat and these looked like they might turn out okay. No flour or butter, just powdered sugar, cocoa powder, salt, egg whites, vanilla and chocolate chips. Avery and I decided to give them a try on Thursday and let me tell you: THEY WERE AMAZING. Great flavor, soft and chewy on the inside with a meringue-like texture on the outside. I was really impressed. Even Erik liked them!

OH MY GOODNESS! So yummy, and being delivered by our sweet little Avery made them that much better. I'm hoarding the last one for dessert tonight (I think your dad got one, but I can only be so generous). Thanks for always keeping an eye out for recipes for me. You have found some great one, but I think this may be the best yet!
Ooops, forgot to add that I love the picture of the powered sugar and cocoa in a bowl -- don't know if you planned the heart shape or not, but it was perfect! (-:
